Flat-hunting in Cornwall: round two

Filed Under - leaving the rat race |
I feel somewhat better this morning than I did last night when I found out that my chosen flat wasn’t going to be mine after all. I had already booked a removal van! It was one of those moments when I wished I wasn’t doing this on my own.
However, in the light of day, things aren’t so bad. There is still time to do another flat-hunting session and I have agreed with my manager that I can bring my leave forward to next week. I will benefit from greater experience and knowledge of the market this time round and be able to do things a little differently. And I should be able to get another surfing session in
To try to avoid the problems I had last time
- I am in Cornwall during the week not over a long weekend
- I have arranged viewings with estate agents a couple of days in advance
- I am focussing my search on one location
And I will remember that until I’ve put money down, the flat isn’t mine.

Find out how to leave the rat race and get the life you want. Read my story and others, learn from our mistakes and be inspired by our successes!
Good plan, I think you should also do some research and look at some property on websites - so that you can see what the specs are and what they are worth.
