Newquay Road Runners

I went running with Newquay Road Runners last night. I was hoping for a 45-minute trot but I was beasted with a hilly 7-miler that I found really tough. The beauty of the surrounding countryside was almost obliterated by my heaving breaths and leaden legs. I haven’t run much recently and didn’t have the speed endurance to go the distance with the pack. They seem like a friendly lot with a decent standard of running but unfortunately I wasn’t able to socialise well afterwards due to feeling tired and a bit sick!

I couldn’t have been there that week, I would have been a long way behind you. I’m always a long way behind everyone.
You should come back and try again

I’ve been back a couple of times and I hope to make it tomorrow. These things do improve with practice! I’m intending to enter the Newquay 10k next month as well.
