Learning not to feel guilty about feeling good

It looks like the flat is going to work out, but until I’ve signed an agreement and put my money on the table I won’t get too excited!

I went for a walk along the cliffs near the flat and I found myself looking at the landscape and thinking of it as ‘my beach’ and ‘my cliffs’. I was on the phone to my sister in Turkey at the time and I said I was feeling a bit guilty about getting possessive of something that isn’t mine yet, and afraid of getting too excited in case it all goes wrong again.

But she wisely said that I should just enjoy the feeling and not feel guilty about it. You have to embrace these moments because there will be plenty of times when you don’t feel good about your situation. She said that I was facing reality, not running away from it and that I deserve to feel good about what I am doing.

Although of my family she is the furthest away, I feel that she is the closest person to me at the moment. I was very comforted by this phone call.

Stumble it!

Cheers Jeff! I will definitely be posting more pictures of this beautiful place!

Yes, my hair has been blow-dried straight but it’s only temporary. As soon as I wash it again, the curls will return!

Such a beautiful and weather. HK is raining dogs and cats last few weeks. Hot and humid weather as usual. Blow-dried! It must take a long time? My wife has small curls. She takes an hour to blow it striaght.
