Hello there!

I have lived most of my life in London, but early in 2007 I decided I had had enough of the rat race. I wanted the freedom to be my own boss, pursue my interests and be a happier person. So I gave up my job and moved to Cornwall. I now live in Newquay, the so-called surfing capital of the UK. That’s me on my local beach in the image above.
I started a blog to record my experiences and provide a resource for anyone who is thinking about doing the same thing. I really enjoy writing it, and as of September 2007 I’m working on expanding this site beyond a simple blog, so look out for lots of great content appearing.
Hopefully it’s not going to be all me - I’d love to get other people involved who are leading a similar lifestyle so that we can pool our knowledge and experiences.
I’m still new to this game and it’s all a bit scary and exciting. Will I rise to the challenge? Will I wimp out? Will I lose everything and end up sleeping on the beach…..? Stick with me and you’ll find out!
